Richard Reno

A brick mason for over 40
years, Walter Richard Reno died
Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011, in
his home on Creek Path Road in
Guntersville. He was 68.

Death came after a brief bout
with cancer with his family by
his side. He was under hospice
care.

His funeral will be today, Saturday, at 2:00 at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Rev.
Hal Mahan officiating. Visitation
will begin at 12:00.

After the burial in Marshall Memorial Gardens, there will be a glory reception at Welcome Bethel
Church in the Sims community.

Mr. Reno was born at Sims to
Martin Van Buren Reno and
Annie Lou Davidson Reno.
Many of his years as a brick
mason were spent working
alongside his 3 sons and his
close friend Roy Hambrick.

He is survived by his wife of
over 46 years, Sarah Ann Leaf
Reno; 3 sons, Mike Reno
(Tammy), Steve Reno (Jasmin)
and Danny Reno, and a daughter,
Lesa Price (Dana), all of
Guntersville; 8 grandchildren,
Brittany Reno, Heather Reno,
David Reno, Hannah Reno,
Cody Reno, Anna Reno, Sarah
Max Price and Savana Price;
and 3 sisters, and 2 brothers-inlaw, Violet Phillips of Boaz,
Louise Leader of Guntersville,
Brenda and Elton Burgett of
Guntersville and James Oody of
Guntersville.

He was preceded in death by
3 brothers, Billy Ray Reno, John
L. Reno and Baby Junebug
Reno, and a sister, Shirley Ann
Oody.

His pallbearers will be Savana
Price, Emily Brown, Eddie
Oody, Brandon Burgett, Chris
Leaf and Robert Leader.
