Virginia "Ginnie" Ragon Rice



Virginia "Ginnie" Ragon Rice, age 77, of Guntersville, passed away Wednesday June 5, 2014.

Mrs. Rice was a member of the Rocky Branch Free Holiness Church for over 62 years. She was one of the original members of the church which was founded in 1970.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Rice, Wanda (Ronnie) Cooper, Deanna Rice and Regina Rice; sons, Daryl (Shannon) Rice and Darron (Christina) Rice; grandsons, Joseph (Ashley) Cooper, Jared (Courtney) Cooper, Cody Rice and Kyle Rice; granddaughters, Amanda (Joel) Commiskey, Lauren Rice, Cassie Painter, Peyton Rice; great-grandsons, Kadin Cooper, Alec Commiskey, Korbin Cooper and Carter Commiskey; great-granddaughter, Kyla Cooper; Sisters, Sarah (Wayne) Sims and Bettie Rosson.

Mrs. Rice is preceded in death by her parents Rayburn and Bessie "Lois" Bonds Ragon.

The family will be accepting friends Saturday, June 7, 2014 from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home and Memory Gardens. Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, June 8, 2014 at Rocky Branch Free Holiness Church and will lie in state on hour prior to service. Interment will be at Pleasant Grove Cemetery.
