Vickie Diane Mcallister

Mrs. Vickie Shaver McAllister, age 60 of the Guntersville/Claysville area passed away Saturday morning at home with family. She was born in Guntersville to Lee and Verna Mae Shaver on October 7, 1957. Vickie married Roger McAllister, a childhood acquaintance, on July 25, 1975 and they shared the same home together for over 42 years. In her working years, Vickie was a Certified Nurses Assistant, working at the nursing homes in the area.

Vickie leaves to cherish her memory, her husband Roger; her daughter Jennifer and husband Timothy Hampton Jr.; grandchildren: Ciera Dooley, Camden Dooley, Cadence Dooley and Bronner Hampton; sisters: Pat Whisenant, Betty Louise Shaver, Brenda (Richard) Hipskind and Emma Mae Jackson and her mother-in-law, Clara Clark. She also leaves behind several nieces, nephew and other extended family and close friends. Vickie was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers: LC Shaver and Leon Shaver.

The family will receive friends Monday night from 6-8 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home for visitation. A Going Home Celebration will be Tuesday at 11 am in the Chapel with burial to follow in Marshall Memory Gardens. Brother Ricky Bell will officiate. Pallbearers will be Billy Clark, Mark Helton, James Pannell, Caleb Russell, Ricky Smith and Greg Hipskind.

Vickie will lie in state from 10:00 until start of service.
