Rodney K Allen

Rodney Kit Allen, 67 of Horton passed away at Huntsville Friday, October 25th, 2024. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Funeral Services will be held at Marshall Memorial at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 29th with Brother Shannon Burbanks officiating.

Pallbearers will be: Angel Vega; Gerardo Martinez; Javier Linares; Wayne Foster; Joe Hastings and Chris Farmer. Honorary Pallbearers will be Francisco Linares and Bryan Martinez.

Rodney was preceded in death by his son Jason Allen; his granddaughter Selena Nieto and his great-grandson Jeremyah Guillaume; his parents Joe and Jean Allen; his sisters; Linda Hodges, Sharon Crocker and Laura Sweatt and his brother-in-law Floyd Nesbitt.

Mr. Allen spent his spare time fishing; he was an avid fisherman who enjoyed the big catch of the day! He was a very special man who made sure that his family was taken care of; by working hard and providing for them. He helped raise his grandchildren and enjoyed spending time with them. His granddaughters remember him bringing carrot cake home from work and feeding them cake before supper, much to the dismay of his daughters. He even bought motorcycles for his granddaughters to ride and encouraged them to speed.

Rodney is survived by his loving wife Lisa Allen; his daughters Misty Vega (Angel); Sabrina Linares (Javier) and Angie Pantuj (Hugo); his grandchildren: Brittany, Erica, Marcus, Relissa, Kaitlin, Jonathan and Francisco; great-grandchildren: Aracely, Bryan, Melicia, Iphosia, Jedidiah and Adriel; his siblings Daryl Allen (Cheryl) and Debra Nesbitt and his best friends Joe Hastings and Wayne Foster.

The family will receive friends on Monday, October 28th, 2024, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.
