It is with sadness that we must announce that Oscar Floyd Morgan, Jr. passed away on Sunday, May 8, 2016 at the age of 72 in Tracy, CA.
A native son of Albertville, Mr. Morgan was born to Oscar Floyd Morgan, Sr. and Margaret Ruth Alexander Morgan on June 29, 1943.
During his lifetime, Mr. Morgan served our great country through enlistment in the Air Force from 1964 through 1984 before retiring as a Master Sergeant. Following his military career Mr. Morgan worked for a prominent defense contractor from 1984 through 2003 before retiring in Tracy California.
Oscar was predeceased by his Father (1973), Mother (1996), and his eldest sister Margaret R. Morgan (2014); who, without doubt, welcomed him to the house of our Lord.
Oscar is survived by his remaining siblings: his elder sister Jacqueline R. Morgan Davis of Millsboro, Delaware and his younger brother James D. Morgan of Albertville, Alabama. Additionally, Oscar is survived by four children: Chrisandra J. Morgan Mora, Oscar F. Morgan III, Henry J. Morgan II, and Thomas A. Morgan, all of whom reside in California.
Oscar was blessed to have received into the world six grandchildren prior to his passing: Alexandria C. Morgan, William D. Porter, Drake O. Mora, Justin M. Mora, Noah F. Morgan, and Hayden R. Morgan, who also reside in California. In addition, he had three nephews, three nieces, three great nephews, four great nieces and a great-great niece.
Services for Mr. Morgan will be held on Saturday, May 21, 2016 at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home and Memory Gardens. The public viewing will be from 10-11 am, chapel services from 11am-12 pm, with a graveside service immediately after.
Visitation will be from 10 am until 11 am.
