Mary Alicia Jimenez, 36, passed away on Saturday September 21st, 2019 in Gadsden.  Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday September 23rd at 10:00 am at Douglas Church of God.  Pastor Billy Blancett will officiate.  Care of Ms. Jimenez has been entrusted to Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.

Mary Alicia was preceded in death by her son Trustin Dallas and her brother Samuel Murphey.

Mary Alicia was born on Father’s Day, June 16th, 1983 to Genaro and Marie Jimenez in Ozark, Alabama.  She lived in Cullman until they moved to Marshall County where she lived the remainder of her life.

Ms.  Jimenez was home schooled and at the age of 15, she graduated with honors.  She attended Auburn University and started studying to be a veterinarian, until she discovered her love of computers and sales.

Her love of sales and marketing started at the age of 16 when she started doing computer marketing from her house.  She found her dream job when she started doing taxes for others.  She worked for H&R Block and Jackson Hewitt.  At Jackson Hewitt, she was the first manager for Marshall County when the company moved into the area.

Mary Alicia was a strong independent woman who stood on her own and was raising her children to take care of themselves.

Mary Alicia is survived by her two children; her son Kyran Snell and her daughter Hannah Snell; her parents Genaro and Marie Jimenez; and her brothers Larry, Macie and Anthony Murphey.

Family will receive friends starting at 9:00 am on Wednesday at Douglas Church of God.

The family is hosting a benefit concert on October 25th at 6:00 pm at Douglas Church of God.  Nate Fortner will be performing.  All proceeds will go to help the Jimenez family with funeral expenses.
