Judith Ann Lawson of Warrenton passed away on Friday at Shepherd’s Cove; she’d lost her battle with cancer. She was born Judith Ann Westbrook to James and Annie Westbrook in Natchez, MS on 18 September 1945.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years Richard, sons Richard and Michael and their families including four lovely granddaughters, her brother James Jr. and family, and her four beloved and devoted dogs.
Judith and Richard moved to their Warrenton “forever” home in 1997 after having lived in Miami, FL; Naples, Italy; Mobile, AL; Elizabeth City, NC; Arlington, TX; Phoenix, AZ; Lancaster, PA; and Madison, AL. There were to be no more moves.
She believed her greatest accomplishments were her long and loving marriage; raising two fine sons; her bed and breakfast in Lancaster, PA; and friendships throughout the world: Judith never met a stranger; it was simply the first meeting of a friend.
She’ll be greatly missed by her family and friends as a bit of sunshine will be gone. Her last wishes were the support of the Marshall Cancer Care Center and Hospice, and instructions to Richard, “Take care of the dogs and you.” A lovely lady has passed.
