Johnny Franklin Bonds

Johnny Franklin Bonds, 92, passed away on January 23rd, 2025, at Marshall Manor Nursing Home. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Funeral Services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, January 26th at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow afterwards in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Alex Owens; Austin Gilliland; Ethan Bonds; Steve Owens; Taft Reeves; Ava Owens and Mary Ella Reeves.

Johnny was preceded in death by his wife Doris Bonds; grandson Javan Bonds; his parents Robert and Lizzie Bonds and his brothers and sisters.

Mr. Bonds worked for Ralston Purina, McElrath and Gold Kist until his retirement. During his later years, he bailed hay for the public. He raised cattle and chickens on his farm and provided farm services for local poultry owners. 

Johnny and Doris loved to travel in their motor home with a group of close friends.

Johnny is survived by his children: Linda Reeves (Howard) and Randy Bonds (Debbie); his grandchildren: Mandy Owens, Taft Reeves and Ethan Bonds; great-grandchildren: Ava Owens; Alex Owens; Mary Ella Reeves; Emmie Kate Reeves; Adalynn Bonds and Xander Bonds and numerous nieces and nephews. 

The family will receive friends from 1:30 until the start of the service at 2:30 pm.
