Jerry Wayne Eller

Jerry Wayne Eller, 78, of Altoona passed away Wednesday June 14th, 2023, at the VA Hospital in Birmingham.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 pm on Saturday, June 17th, 2023, at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.  Burial will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Jerry was preceded in death by his parents Calvin and Evelyn Eller; his daughter Sherri Scott and his brother Kenneth Eller.

Jerry was born and raised in Horton and moved to Altoona seven years ago.  Jerry was a market manager at Food World for over 20 years until his retirement.

Jerry was a lover of Western movies and Alabama football.  He had the best sense of humor and was known for his sarcasm.

Mr. Eller is survived by his son John Eller and his wife Sherry; grandchildren Erica Kilgo and her husband Jesse; Hannah Cummings and her husband Steven; John Eller and his fiancé Sarah Miller; great-grandchildren Bryson Witt; River and Ridge Witt; Paxton Couey; Aubrey McElrath and future great-grandson John Eli; his sister Joann Holliday and her husband Steve.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am until the start of the service on Saturday.
