Mrs. Jean Whitaker Quinn of Albertville passed from Earth to Glory on Sunday, April 24. She is now seated at the feet of her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ at the Throne of Grace. A Celebration of life will be held Wednesday, April 27, at the Marshall Memorial Chapel. Jean is now in the arms of her late husband John Jackson Quinn, Sr. and she is holding her precious son, Tony.

Jean was born in Lawrence County, Tennessee where she met and married John Quinn. They began their life together in 1950 which took them to Georgia, North Carolina, and Kentucky before making their final home in Albertville, Alabama. She worked at home as a devoted wife and mother while her husband worked building the Marshall County Gas District.

Jean was a Long-time member of North Broad Church of Christ and a dedicated member of the Lattiwood Homemaker's Club. She was an expert Quilter, and seamstress and created masterpieces with her crochetting. She leaves many beautiful samples for her beloved family.

She was preceded in death by her husband, John Quinn and son, Tony Quinn, her parents, R.A. and Matilda Whitaker, sisters, Dean Whitaker Gentry and Nancy Whitaker Keener.

She is survived by her beloved family; son John Jackson Quinn, Jr. (Kerry) of Albertville, and daughter, Cathy J. Quinn of Tuscaloosa, Grandsons Jon Quinn (Tish), Jason Quinn (Melody), John Jackson Quinn III (Trey), India Kelly Elizabeth Quinn, Christina Quinn, Rebecca Tramel (Ryan), Great Grandchildren, Jackson Quinn, Jon Todd Quinn, Reuben and Annie Martinez, Kay-Lee and Christopher Diehl, Jacob, Michael and Alexander Tramel, sisters, Clara Whitaker Powell and Virginia Whitaker Mann of Lawrenceburg, Tennessee, as well as many nieces, nephews and friends.

The family will receive flowers or donations may be made to Hospice of Marshall County.

Jack and Cathy Quinn wish to thank Jean's caregivers for the perfect love and care they provided their Mother: Anita Sanders, Lanett Bryant, and Sandy Hardin. Special thanks to Dr. Russell Robinson, Hospice of Marshall County, and the staff of Marshall Manor Nursing Home of Guntersville.

Jean would leave you with this thought as she breathed her last breath on earth, "I wish I had the power of writing or speaking, for I would tell you how much I dearly loved my God and my family." We cry for our loss but we praise God for her Victory.

Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday in the Chapel of Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.
