James Donald Higgins

James Donald “Don” Higgins, 52, passed away on Thursday, August 29th, 2024, at Marshall Medical Center South. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm in the chapel, Saturday, August 31st, 2024 at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Joey Staton officiating. Burial will follow afterwards in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Don was preceded in death by his son Joshua Butler; his parents James Ronald “Ronnie” Higgins and Lula Mae Jennings and his brother Timothy Hampton.

Don was the type of person who would do anything for those he loved, giving them the shirt off his back if they needed it. If Don was your friend, you would know without doubt.

In his spare time, he enjoyed riding motorcycles and watching Auburn play football. 

Don is survived by his siblings: Tammy West and her husband Joey; Mark Hampton and his wife Donna and his twin brother Ron Higgins; his sons Jock Ryan Baugh; Justin Baugh and Jody Baugh; his grandson JJ Butler and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm until the start of the service on Saturday.
