James Verlon “JV” Bagwell passed away Tuesday April 23rd, 2024, at Crossville Nursing Home.  A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, April 29th, 2024, at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Morell Upchurch officiating.

JV was preceded in death by his first wife Wanda Bagwell.

Mr. Bagwell was born and raised in Marshall County where he was a well-known and respected businessman.  He founded Sand Mountain Pest Control and ran it successfully until he sold the business to enjoy retirement.

JV is survived by his wife and friend Melba Cash; his stepdaughter Karen Potter; his stepson Rickey Cash and his wife Lori; multiple grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and his sister-in-law Mae Bagwell.

The family requests that donations be made to St Jude in his memory.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the start of the service.
