Harvey James Duvall, Sr.

Harvey James Duvall, Sr. age 89 of Albertville passed away early Sunday morning September 24, 2017 at home with family at his side. He was born January 20, 1928 in Alabama to James and Ida Bell Sims Duvall. He married Gail Williams on June 29, 1952 and recently celebrated 65 years of marriage with her. Harvey was a Merchant Marine and served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was well known for his kind heart and great sense of humor and will be missed by all who knew him.

Harvey leaves behind his wife, Gail; sons and daughters-in-law Harvey Jr. and Regina Duvall and Gary and Betty Duvall; brothers, Larry (Tommi Jo) Duvall and Arnold (Paige) Duvall; sister, Katherine Mann; sister-in-law Mary Lou Duvall; grandchildren, Chris (Dana) Duvall, Dusty (Anita) Duvall, Amy (Alex) Duvall Nixon, Amber (Michael) White and Becky Duvall and Great Grandchildren, Lacey Duvall, Laney Duvall, Maddox Duvall, Hudson Duvall, Aiden Nixon, Isaac Nixon, Aliyah Duvall, Marley Duvall, Quincy White & Austin White.

Harvey was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, D.C. Duvall and Clarence Duvall; sisters, Dortha Duvall, Annie Johnson, Jimmie Smith and Eve Duvall; brother-in-law, Clifton Mann and Great Granddaughter, Maci Duvall.

Pallbearers will be Dusty Duvall, Chris Duvall, Michael White, Quincy White, Austin White and Alex Nixon. Honorary Pallbearers will be Hudson Duvall and Maddox Duvall.
