Gene Mendoza

Mr. Gene Mendoza age 54 of Boaz passed away on Friday, January 26, 2018 at Marshall Medical Center South. He was born to Genovevo and Bertha Mae Mendoza on October 12, 1963. He was employed by Quality Foods in Albertville until he was diagnosed with a terminal illness and became unable to work.

Gene is survived by his daughter, Latasha Mendoza; a brother, Luke Mendoza; two sisters, Diane Mendoza and Frances Mendoza and two grandchildren, Dawson Elkins and Anna Mendoza. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews as well as great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

The family will have a visitation to celebrate the life of their loved one on Sunday, January 28, 2018 from noon until start of service at 2:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Nazareth Church Cemetery in Rainsville, AL. Pastor Charlie Champion will officiate. Pallbearers will be Richard Champion, Jimmy Howell, Ronny Rogers, Todd Champion, Dawson Elkins and Luke Mendoza.
