Estrellita "Lita" McClendon

Estrellita “Lita” McClendon, 80 of Albertville, passed away on Saturday, March 8th, 2025, at her home. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, March 11th, 2025, with burial following in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be:  Steve Reno; Ed Hawkins; Gilbert Fernandez; Jacob Scott; Jeff Davis and Bob Brown.

She was preceded in death by her granddaughter Halie Davis.

Lita was born in the Philippines and immigrated to the United States 48 years ago with her family.

Lita was a retired beautician who enjoyed meeting people in the area while fixing their hair. She loved gardening and loved growing flowers. Her beautiful garden of flowers was her number one joy and the source of pride.

She also enjoyed spending time with her Filipino friends and family.

Lita is survived by her husband: Gary McClendon; her children Jasmin Reno (Steve); Joseph Scott; and Cristina Hawkins (Ed) and her chosen son; Jimmy McClendon; her grandchildren: Anna Reno; Faith McCann; Jacob Scott and Jonathan Strickland; great-grandchildren Skyelynn Scott and Haisley Tidwell; her sister Ising Nunag and her precious fur baby Coco.

The family will receive friends from 12:30 until the start of the service.
