Doris Pearl Bussell

Doris Pearl Bussell, born on September 6, 1934, in Florida, graced this world with her kindness and boundless spirit until her passing on February 9, 2025, at Princeton Baptist Hospital. Doris, known affectionately by those who loved her, lived a life that embodied simplicity and love, touching the hearts of all who crossed her path.

As a daughter of David and Ollie, Doris was nurtured in a family that set the foundation for her own compassionate nature. She later embraced her role as a devoted wife and mother of three wild boys, marrying Kenneth Bussell, with whom she built a cherished home with. Together, they shaped a loving environment that will forever remain in the memories of their family.

Doris took great pride in her role as a mother to her sons, Vernon, Roger and Kenny Bussell. The lessons of love, sacrifice, and kindness that she instilled in them will resonate for generations. Her legacy extends even further through a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren who carry forward her joyful spirit and gentle heart.

Throughout her life, Doris was known for her unwavering kindness. She found fulfillment in the simple things, spreading warmth and compassion wherever she went. Her gentle demeanor, always ready to lend a hand or a listening ear, cemented her place as a beloved figure among friends and family alike.

Doris was preceded in death by her husband Kenneth and her beloved son Roger, whose absence she carried with grace. Also waiting to welcome her were her brother David, whose shared memories linger in the hearts of many, along with her dear parents, David and Ollie.

Her memory will be celebrated at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home in Albertville, Alabama, on February 15, 2025. The visitation will take place from 1:30 PM to 2:30 PM, followed by a funeral service from 2:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Friends and family are invited to gather and honor the remarkable life Doris led—a life marked by love and enduring kindness.
