Mr. David Burks age 52 of Geraldine passed away Sunday October 18, 2015 at home with his family by his side. He leaves behind his wife of over 20 years, Tammy Pursley Burks and step sons, Joshua Romine and Jamie Pursley. He is also survived by 5 brothers: Robert (Ruth) Burks, Larry (Leslie) Burks, Kenneth (Mary) Burks, James "Shorty" (Bonnie) Burks and Jerry (Lisa) Burks, and 2 sisters: Rosie Marie Foster and Elizabeth (Claude) Johnson as well as a brother in law Jimmy Jones. David was preceded in death by his parents Timothy and Mary Burks; Sisters, Joyce Jones and Judy Bailey; Sister-in-law Gail Burks and Brothers-in-law Ted Bailey, Jerald Foster and Delane Hill

The family will receive friends on Wednesday night from 5-8 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home. Funeral service will take place on Thursday the 22nd at 2 pm in the Chapel. Burial will follow in Marshall Memory Gardens. Reverend Brad Edmondson will officiate. Pallbearers are Robert Burks, Larry Burks, Justin Burks, Shorty Burks, Tim Jones and Kent Burks.
