Billie Jean Nichols

Billie Jean Nichols, 93, passed away on Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, at Marshall Manor Nursing Home. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements. Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, January 19th, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home with Brother Kevin Brooks officiating. Burial will follow afterwards in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Tommy Baggett; Austin Baggett; Brad French; Daniel Stanley; David Owens and Jeff Daniel.

Billie was preceded in death by her husband Wayne Nichols; her son Marty Martin; her parents Barney “Monk” and Lovella Daniel; her siblings Jimmy Daniel and Mary Owens.

Mrs. Nichols worked as a nurse where she was able to fulfill her dream of helping others. Even after she retired, she loved taking care of her family and other loved ones. She even cared for children in her home so she could spend time with them.

She was a member of Southside Baptist Church and loved spending time with her church family. In her spare time, she loved doing puzzles and quilting. She was a Band Mom who traveled to see the kids play in the band. She loved watching her two favorite teams play ball and tried not to miss the Atlanta Braves or Auburn Tigers play.

Billie is survived by her loving children Deborah Lovelady and Dedra Baggett (Tommy); her grandchildren Daniel Stanley (Rachel); Ashlee French (Brad); Megan Baggett and Austin Baggett; her great-grandchildren Alyssa Watkins (Drake); Shelby Stanley; Avery Stanley; Bea French and Emmie French.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the start of the service.
