Amparo Thorp, a beloved mother, daughter and sister passed away on October 1, 2024, at age of 45. Born on March 13, 1979, in Tamaulipas, Mexico. Amparo was known for her warmth, kindness, and zest for life. She embraced each day with a spirit that touched everyone around her.
Amparo's journey led her to the United States, where she truly blossomed. Throughout her life, she became an integral part of her family and community. As a devoted mother, she nurtured her children—Paul Ramirez, Isaiah Ramirez, Tommy McGrew, Miguel McGrew, and Amanda Lancaster with unconditional love and support, instilling in them the values of compassion and resilience that defined her character.
She is survived by her dear parents, Salvador Mata and Maria Mata, who raised her to be strong and caring. Amparo's legacy continues through her brothers, Salvador Mata and David Mata, and her sisters, Janet Mata, Liliana Trejo, Martha Sharp, and Yolonda Julian. Each sibling shares cherished memories of growing up together, filled with laughter and love.
To honor her life and memory, a Mass will be held on October 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM at St. William Catholic Church - Chapel Of The Holy Cross located at 1534 Whitesville Rd, Albertville, AL, followed by a visitation from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home, 3368 AL Hwy 205 N, Albertville, AL.
Amparo Thorp will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Her spirit will live on in the hearts of her family and friends, cherished for the beautiful moments and memories they shared.
