Alice Simpson Edwards

Alice Simpson Edwards, 71, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away March 30th, 2025, at Shepard’s Cove Hospice, surrounded by her loving family. Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.

The family will hold a celebration of Alice’s life at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025, with Pastor Lawrence Waldrop officiating. Jackie Riddle will read the obituary, and a family offering will be given by Sierra Bryan.

Burial will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Bryan, Jerry Bryan, David Edwards, Randy Edwards, Gary McClendon and Gary Swords.

Alice is preceded in death by her father Nolen Simpson and brother Jesse Simpson.

Alice loved sewing, drawing, singing and playing cards with her family and friends. Alice was a loving person who always enjoyed spending time with her family.

Alice’s family would like to thank the staff of Crossville Nursing Home for their many years of care as well as the comfort and compassion of Shepard’s Cove Hospice.

Left to treasure her memory: her daughter Diane (Jerry) Bryan; her son James Edwards (Tammy); her grandson Jeremy Bryan (Sierra); her mother Eloise Ogle and her brother Dan Simpson.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm until the start of the service on Wednesday.
