Rebecca Sue (Champion) Pearson

Rebecca Sue Pearson, 59, of Albertville, passed away at Shepard’s Cove on February 8th, 2023.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 13th, 2023, at Marshall Memorial Funeral Home.  Brothers Dean Moore and Charlie Champion are officiating.  Burial will follow at Little Branch Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be:  Taylor Centers; Jay Young; Donald Barnett; Jordan Pearson; Katy Barnett; Jody Jones; Jonathon Paez and TJ Lindsey.

Rebecca was preceded in death by her parents John and Linda Champion; her son Shane Pearson; her sister and her sister’s husband Gerald and Chris Demedicis.

Rebecca or “Beck Beck” as she was known fondly by her loved ones, was born in Alabama where she lived her whole life.  She loved her children, her grandchildren and her nieces and nephews.

She was a member of Old Crossroads Church in Boaz where she was an active member of her church; loved her church family and loved singing hymns.

Winnie the Pooh was her favorite cartoon and she absolutely loved collecting anything related to Winnie the Pooh.

She met and married her person William Pearson on August 21st, 1997.  They spent 26 ½ years of love and laughter together before she was called home.  The last words she said were to her loving husband.

Rebecca is survived by the love of her life William Pearson; her children Darla Smith; Jimmy Cline and Marie Cline; her grandchildren:  Taylor Centers; Jay Young; Jordan Pearson, Katy Barnett, and Donald Barnett; her great-grandchildren:  Jonah Phillips; Alaric “AJ” Phillips; Emerald Paez, Ryan McGlaughn and Forrest Goodne.

The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 pm until the start of the service.
