Margaret Ann (Owens) Cheek

Margaret Ann Cheek, 76, of Albertville passed away April 14th, 2024.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, April 17th at 2:00 pm with Tracy Cheek officiating.  Burial will follow in Marshall Memorial Gardens.

Margaret was preceded in death by her loving husband Thurman Cheek, her parents Chester and Reba Owens and her son-in-law Chris White.

Mrs. Cheek was a nurse who worked at Marshall Medical Center for over 30 years until she retired.  Being a nurse was her calling, she loved helping people and making them feel comfortable.  After retiring from the hospital, she worked in hospice care.  She said that “she started her career in OB bringing lives into this world; and ended it with hospice helping people leave this world.”

 After she retired, she had more time to spend on her hobbies.  She loved gardening, painting art, and restoring furniture.

Margaret is survived by her devoted children:  Allen Cheek and his wife Emily Cheek and Christy White; her grandchildren:  Crissa Cheek Nelson and her husband Alex; Abigail Cheek and Lucas Cheek and her brother Philip Owens.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 pm on Wednesday until the start of the service.
