Edward Ray Beam

Edward Ray Beam SR, 87, passed away on Friday, March 1st, 2024, at Sheperd’s Cove Hospice.  Marshall Memorial Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Wednesday, March 6th, 2024, at Marshall Memorial Gardens with Brother Joey Cannady and Brother Westley Kirby officiating.  Mr. Beam will receive military honors at the time of his burial.

Ed was preceded in death by his loving wife of 54 years Ruby Jo Beam; his siblings Jerry Beam and Bonnie Hollis and his parents Forest and Laverna Beam.

Mr. Beam was a devoted husband; loving father; grandfather and brother.  He was a family man who enjoyed spending time with his family.

Ed served his country in the Navy and retired from the Navy after devoting his life to serving his country.  A lifetime of sacrifice was his honor to give.

He was a good, honest Christian man who was devoted to his church and church family.  He attended Solitude Baptist Church for the latter part of his life.

He enjoyed woodworking and spending time with his son Ray.

Ed is survived by his son Ray Beam and his companion Sheri Brooks; his grandchildren Miranda Jordan, Michael Beam, Barbie Hillhouse, Chris Taylor, Connor Rooks, and Cody Rooks; his 7 great-grandchildren; his sister Bettey Carol Bearden and a host of nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends in the cemetery immediately preceding the service.
